Solid copper 6.25" saucepan with hand-applied fire-tinned interior has a porcelain insert which allows slow, even temperature for melting chocolate or butter, making sauces and holding foods at temperature. The unique v-shaped insert allows greater surface area for the steam to envelope the bowl, giving more even heat. Brass handles. Lid included.
To keep your pots and pans durable and hard-wearing, we suggest that with your first use you should bring water to a boil and add aromatic herbs such as rosemary, sage, bay leaves, or green vegetables. Staining or marks on the tin lining can eventually occur caused by high temperatures or food acids. These in no way will harm the functionality and hygiene of the product. To maintain the durability of the tin lining always fill the product with at least a small amount of liquid or fat before placing directly over a flame or heat source. Never heat a pan that is empty. The copper exterior will oxidize with regular use and in time takes on an allover dark red color that the discerning customer appreciates and maintains. When using an unlined pan, please do not use acidic foods and never store food in these products.
